Who are we?
The East of England Development Agency (EEDA) is the driving force behind sustainable economic development in the East of England.
EEDA is led by a Chief Executive, Chair and 14 Board Members, supported by an executive management team. The board comprises representatives from the business sector, local authorities, trade unions, higher education and the voluntary sector, who are all successful within their own fields as well as contributing to the success of EEDA.
EEDA is organised into directorates in order to deliver the corporate plan, which is our response to the Regional Economic Strategy (RES).

What do we do?
We work with the six counties of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk and also four unitary authorities; Luton, Peterborough, Southend-on-Sea and Thurrock.
EEDA works with a variety of external bodies within the region in order to achieve the RES.

To do this we work with a range of partners - including regional and local authorities, businesses, educational establishments and the voluntary sector.
To deliver our stretching programme of activities, EEDA has an expenditure budget for 2008/09 of £154 million - less than 0.5 per cent of total public spending in the region.
