| You will have a high appreciation of customer service and the personal drive to deliver service that exceeds the expectation of the customer through a well organised and structured work ethic. You will be the type of person who is happy to help customers in such a way as to build their skill, increase their efficiency and enhance their enjoyment of using the systems you support. You will report to the IT Manager. You will have regular daily duties plus a series of ad hoc tasks, as allocated to you by your manager. You are also expected to work closely with your immediate colleagues to share the work load in a positive and co-operative way to bring the collective service delivery. Consequently the need to work on your own initiative is also an important requirement. You will be located at the Head Office and occasional travel will be required to remote sites, customers, subsidiaries, and exhibitions. Experience required *You will have been working with Microsoft operating systems for 5+ years. *You will have been supporting desktop systems for at least 3 years *You will have 3 years experience working with development languages including VBScript and Shell Script *You will have 3 years experience working with computer networks and TCP/IP *You will have a proven track record of performing to and exceeding Service Level Agreements *SharePoint services a distinct Advantage Skills required MCSE 2003 Requirement VBscript and Shell Script and HTML language Microsoft Qualification in the following core areas:- *Microsoft Exchange *Microsoft SharePoint *Microsoft Active Directory *Windows 2000 and 2003 Server Ideally some experience or qualification in the following areas:- *Microsoft SQL Server *Wide area networks *Microsoft Internet Information Server *ISA (Internet Security) Responsibilities *Servers *Work stations *Internet servers *Internet connections *Network cabling *Phone cabling *Software systems *Communication systems *Integration systems *Upgrading *Backups *Preventative maintenance *Training equipment *Exhibitions *Printers *Software licence control *Assistance to source and deploy new equipment *Maintenance contracts *Phone system (basic level) *SharePoint Administrator |
