| A vacancy has arisen for a Trainee Analyst Programmer to join our IT development team. IT development is a vital part of our on-going efforts to provide our customers with market leading systems. We have over 200 users on our UNIX ERP system including 100 networked PCs and a number of UNIX and NT servers. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will have the opportunity to develop the skills required to deliver projects which will add real value to the business. Candidates should be educated to 'A' level standard or equivalent. A degree in an IT related discipline is desirable but not essential. On the job training will be provided along with external courses where appropriate. In addition to the computing skills required, candidates should also be able to demonstrate their ability to analyse business problems which they will then provide the IT solutions for. Key to success in this aspect of the role will be the ability to engage with users and work in partnership with them to deliver results. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are therefore as important as technical ability. |
