Continuous planned growth has created further opportunities for Commercial Underwriters.
This role will require individuals who are extremely customer focused, a good team player and motivated in producing excellent results to enhance the quality of service provided to your Intermediaries, ensuring the team delivers performance levels, targets and quality against service level agreements.
Key Responsibilities
• Ensure profitable case underwriting by applying underwriting philosophy and strategies.
• Negotiate risks within underwriting authority.
• Ensure compliance with risk management measures.
• Act as a point of referral for underwriting issues outside the authority unit of personnel or where guidance/support is required.
• Take responsibility for growing premium, volume profit and retention.
• Build meaningful internal and external business relationships to recognise the value of brokers.
• Takes responsibility for own workload to ensure service standards are met.
• To deliver the underwriting strategy and ensure its consistent application.
• To provide technical support to the business unit.
You will already have an all round Underwriting background with some experience in commercial classes and be looking to progress your career and probably your qualifications as well.
