| Purpose of the role: Works via an S&OP process to source and process orders and/or commodities while ensuring the proper review, authorisation, pricing, specifications and delivery dates have been achieved. Ensures supply of products to market through monitoring of inventory and maintaining compliance with regulatory as well as company and department policies and procedures. Role dimensions reports to senior supply manager. Key Responsibilities: •Plans, schedules and monitors movement of materials through the production cycle •Reviews and analyses historical trends and future demand to develop production plans to meet patient requirements •Co-ordinates the purchasing of materials and manages inventory to successfully meet planning targets •Will follow up routine and sometimes complex queries and resolves or escalates appropriately •Ensures relevant systems and databases are up to date and accurate at all times •Is developing a good understanding of all parts of the planning process, will be expected to generate ideas for improvement, for review and to assist in implementing agreed changes •Has a good knowledge of regulatory requirements and cGMP and how these relate to their activities •Works as part of a project team leading specific activities in large activities or taking the lead on small projects •May provide guidance and supervision to more junior staff •Relationships frequent internal and third party supplier contacts •Responds to standard and sometimes complex requests •Builds good working relationships with key contacts •Very customer focused and interacts positively with customers across the site Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required: •Proven competence in sales and operations planning in a multi-site environment •Will have a strong working knowledge of MRP systems and proven ability to successfully manage short-medium term planning of products and/or raw materials Key Competencies: •Good communicator •Team player •Good organisational skills •Action orientated |
