| Our client is one of the UK’s leaders in their field, founded in 1980. Their Head Office is in Norwich and the also have 11 operations in the UK and 1 in France. Due to huge success they’re growing rapidly and now require 3-4 additional recruits to join an already thriving team. You will be allocated a portfolio of organisations within a postcode area which have before or are likely to in the future undertake residential trips as part of their requirements. You will contact the organisations within your region to secure activity trip bookings. As well as making outbound calls you will also be responding to inbounds emails, faxes, web enquiries and phone calls therefore around 80% of the work is outbound and 20% inbound. This is a business to business role dealing with people who are likely to know the company product and are used to arranging and booking activity trips. This isn’t a usual sales role as it is completely service driven. Due to the market a softer approach needs to be adopted. They sell on product and service, not on price and once you have found your feet you should average around 1.5 confirmed trips per week. Suitable applicants will… be able to work under their own initiative and without supervision have an excellent telephone manner be a self starter who takes responsibility for their own understanding and development have an understanding of Microsoft Office packages including Word and Outlook be resilient and determined be able to close a sale using ‘soft’ skills have a good level of numeracy and literacy This role is on a 44 weeks a year basis, which means that the successful candidates will not be required to work during the Easter or Christmas holidays and will also have 4 weeks off during the school summer holidays. The hours are 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Year 1 will see team members earning from £18-22,000PA, top earners last year earned £28,000 within their 44 weeks. Average commission for 1 booking is £260 and to reach target 1.5 bookings per working week need to be secured. A higher basic will be paid during training and until commission starts to come in.
