| Family owned country house style hotel located on the outskirts of Norwich. A famous venue over the years for weddings, conferences and good food. Our client is seeking a customer focussed person who will be able to reflect and live up to the good reputation achieved over the years. You will make their guests feel welcome, deal with room bookings and handle general requests made by guests during their stay. Your main duties will include: Dealing with reservations by telephone, email, fax or face to face Check guests into the hotel, allocate rooms and issue keys/cards Check guests out of the hotel, preparing the bill and taking payments Handling foreign exchange Taking and passing on messages to guests Dealing with special requests from guests, such as booking theatre tickets and dinner reservations Answering questions about facilities in the hotel and surrounding area Dealing with complaints or problems You will use a computerised system to make reservations and keep room bookings and availability details up to date. You will also use a telephone switchboard. This role involves working as part of a team. Hours are on a 2 week rotating shift basis. Either 7am to 3pm or 3pm to 11pm 5 days over 7. The 2 days a week you have off will always be together.
