A leading and established firm of chartered accountants with offices across the midlands and south east are looking to appoint an Audit/Accounts Manager to work within their Business Assurance department. Based in Colchester (Essex) the role will involve planning and performing audit and accounts work on a range of clients on a portfolio of circa £400k, supervising junior staff, reviewing the work of others and reporting to Partners. In addition the role will involve the general responsibilities within the team for student training, technical development and progressing business opportunities through presentations and attendance at client seminars and meetings. Applicants will be ACA/ACCA qualified with related management experience with the ability to plan workload in advance, work under pressure to deadlines/budget and with the ability to demonstrate experience in managing the implementation of new systems and procedures. There will be an element of travel to clients' premises and other offices as required.
