Job Description

Our town centre based Client is looking for 2 insurance claims professionals to join their expanding Third Party team.

PURPOSE

  • €¢ To proactively pursue economic, early resolution of all claims. To reduce average claim life wherever possible and minimise claims spend

  • €¢ To pursue recovery of losses on behalf of insurers and/or clients on all complex liability cases

  • €¢ To proactively pursue recovery of appropriate losses on all recovery files over 180 days old.

  • €¢ To challenge current work procedures and recommend process improvement or development

  • €¢ To act as a point of contact for the client.

  • €¢ To deliver excellent customer service for on and on behalf of Clients.

KEY TASKS

  • €¢ To manage a live client caseload of at least 1050 incidents per handler.

  • €¢ To achieve average elapsed time for open claims of 26 weeks or less.

  • €¢ To maintain post and diary within the agreed internal Key Performance Indicator (KPI) of 3 working days

  • €¢ To ensure incoming telephone calls are answered within 12 seconds and adhere to the agreed internal KPI of no more than 3% lost calls

  • €¢ To ensure all customer complaints are acknowledged within 24 hours and resolved within 5 days

  • €¢ To ensure telephone call backs are dealt with on due date

  • €¢ To achieve minimum of 85% KPI on quality audits

  • €¢ Ensuring that accurate reserves are placed on all cases so that Clients have reliable MI with which to measure potential exposure

  • €¢ To act as a referral point to more junior handlers

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • €¢ Competent in all areas of Third Party and/or Property Damage

  • €¢ Basic understanding of the business and the key revenue streams

  • €¢ Keeps professional knowledge up to date

  • €¢ Able to proactively coach others within role

  • €¢ Able to adopt a logical approach

  • €¢ Able to communicate clearly ensuring you are understood

  • €¢ Able to recognise inaccuracies and seek assistance

  • €¢ Works with other areas of the business to achieve success
