Our client is looking for an Analogue Design Engineer. You will have a strong track record in the development of PCB level high speed/high power analogue circuits, possibly in the design of audio amplifiers, video amplifiers, switch mode power supplies or radars. You will be expected to demonstrate many of the following skills: Experience of high speed / high power analogue design using IC and discrete transistors, design of high speed, moderate power, switch mode analogue circuits, a good understanding of control theory/stability analysis and compensation networks, as well as circuit simulation using time domain simulation package e.g. SPICE / Spectre. In addition you will need experience of high speed PCB modelling, including parasitic extraction and transmission line effects, a thorough understanding of BJT and MOSFET device characteristics and circuit topologies and an understanding of device speed limitations, failure modes and breakdown mechanisms.
